Before this La Liga season began, Girona would have been one of the least unlikely teams to be sitting top of the Spanish top flight table come late November but here the hosts are, sitting at the summit of the La Liga table where they hold a two-point lead over second placed Real Madrid prior to Monday night's important encounter with Athletic Bilbao as the hosts look to extend their winning streak to six matches, while Athletic Bilbao will be keen to record a third win on the trot here.
