It has not been a great start to this new La Liga campaign for Wednesday night's hosts, Athletic Bilbao, as they have picked up just one point from their opening two games of this new domestic top flight season, while Valencia have fared even worse as the visitors slumped to a second defeat on the trot on the weekend, suffering a heavy 3-1 defeat away from home at Celta Vigo on Friday night.

The bigger picture shows Valencia have managed to collect just three wins in their previous 17 games overall which came in the form of wins against Getafe, Granada and Osasuna but also includes slipping to nine defeats within this period as well.

In addition, Valencia have managed to capture just four wins in their previous 19 outings on the road in La Liga and includes being handed 11 defeats in the process, so the visitors look to have their work cut out ahead of Wednesday night's clash.
