Rangers vs Livingston Preview

Rangers were handed a surprise and shock 1-0 defeat away from home at the hands of Kilmarnock on the opening weekend of this new Scottish Premiership season but the hosts return to Ibrox for Saturday's clash against Livingston looking to set the record straight.

That defeat away at Kilmarnock became only the third loss in a total of 26 matches for Rangers, the other two defeats being against Celtic and Aberdeen, while all three losses were incurred away from home in the Scottish top flight.

On the flip-side, Rangers have amassed a total of 20 victories during this period as well and The ‘gers know that they have a golden opportunity to return to winning ways this Saturday at Ibrox as Rangers hold a commanding record against Livingston in previous exchanges.

Rangers have won nine out of the last 10 meetings against Livingston and last week's defeat should only serve to motivate Michael Beale's men even more as they look to get themselves off the mark this Saturday.

This statistic certainly doesn't make for good reading if you're a Livingston fan and does not bode well for this upcoming trip to Ibrox which was recently the scene of a 2-1 win in Europe for Rangers when they played Swiss club, Servette, in their midweek Champions League clash.

To make matters worse, Livingston have lost their last eight matches on the road on the trot and the visitors have failed to hit the back of the net in each of these away games as well.
