Three points separate second placed hosts Falkirk and third placed visitors Livingston ahead of this Tuesday night's fixture in the Scottish Championship when the two teams meet at the Falkirk Stadium with a valuable three points at stake for both sides.

Falkirk bounced back from a previous 1-0 loss on the road at Raith Rovers on the weekend when the hosts registered a solid 2-0 home win against the current Championship league leaders, Ayr United, and Falkirk will hold home advantage once again here on Tuesday night as well.

John McGlynn's side have produced an encouraging start to this new Scottish second tier campaign by picking up six wins within their opening seven games overall which includes winning all three of their home games to date this term.

The Bairns have collected wins on home soil against the likes of Queen's Park, Partick Thistle and Ayr United respectively and the hosts will be confident that they can continue their winning momentum at their Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday night, especially as Falkirk have lost just twice in their previous 11 home games as well, picking up six wins in the process.

The visitors look to have a decent chance of getting something from this upcoming encounter against Falkirk as David Martindale's side have suffered just three defeats in their last 24 matches overall in the domestic second tier.

Losses at the hands of Dunfermline Athletic, Inverness CT and Dundee United have been outweighed by picking up no fewer than 13 wins along the way as well, but results away from home continue to frustrate the visitors.

Livingston have managed to record just one win from their previous six outings on their travels in the Scottish Championship which was achieved by a 1-0 win at Raith Rovers but also includes being handed losses at Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee United as well.
