Ajax recorded a welcome 3-1 win away from home at PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie on the weekend which became only a second win in eight games in the domestic top flight for Thursday night's hosts who still currently occupy a disappointing fifth place in the Eredivisie standings, while Go Ahead also plundered three goals on the weekend as they registered a resounding 3-0 home win against lowly Excelsior at their De Adelaarshorst ground.

The visitors have now lost three out of their last five games overall in the Dutch top flight which included a previous 3-0 loss away from home at Twente but recent results overall have been fairly promising for Rene Hake's side as the visitors have lost just three out of their last 10 matches.

Within this period, Go Ahead have registered five wins which consist of victories over the likes of Sparta Rotterdam, Vitesse, Heerenveen, RKC Waalwijk and Excelsior which gives them a possible chance of gaining something from this upcoming trip to Amsterdam on Thursday night.

In addition, Go Ahead have lost just twice in their previous nine outings on the road so they will be hoping they can get the better of their hosts here.
