Relegation threatened Sassuolo slumped to a fifth defeat in six games in the Italian top flight following a 3-2 loss at home to Empoli in last weekend's action in Serie A which has left the hosts precariously perched just above the bottom three clubs, while Napoli's winless run in the domestic top flight was extended to three games after they could only muster a 1-1 draw on the road at Cagliari on Sunday.

Sassuolo currently sit fourth from bottom in the Serie A table but the hosts are level on points with both Verona and Cagliari who occupy places in the relegation zone, so the hosts know they must get something from this upcoming encounter with Napoli but this could be easier said than done.

Napoli have picked up wins against Salernitana and Verona within this nine-game period but it is worth noting that both of these victories were achieved on home soil at their Stadio Diego Armando Maradona while also being handed three defeats in the shape of losses to Roma, Torino and AC Milan, all of which were inflicted upon Francesco Calzona's side on their travels.

The bigger picture shows Napoli have collected just three wins from their previous 12 games overall in Serie A, while the visitors have also failed to win any of their last six away games and being handed four defeats in the process, so they too are perhaps best to avoid in the straight win markets but the visitors should at least find a way to hit the back of the net against a struggling Sassuolo outfit.
