Parma's winless run in the Italian top flight stretched to four games last weekend when they were dealt a 3-2 loss away from home at AC Milan, leaving the upcoming hosts in 16th place in the Serie A table ahead of this lower half clash on Friday night at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Lecce also suffered defeat in last weekend's Serie A action as they were handed a heavy 4-0 thrashing at home by the other Milan club, Inter, last Sunday which followed a 4-1 defeat away from home at Cagliari and these recent losses have dumped the visitors down into the relegation zone of the domestic top flight table.

Parma have managed to capture just one win from their previous eight games overall in the Italian top flight which came by way of a 2-1 home win against Monza but having lost five of these previous eight matches, the hosts now need a result on Friday night if they are to stay out of the bottom three in the table.

Indeed, the visitors have slumped to 11 defeats within these previous 19 games as well, while poor results away from home have also contributed to Lecce's lowly league position in the Serie A table.

Marco Giampaolo's side have managed to muster just two wins from their previous 13 outings on the road in the domestic top flight whilst slipping to no fewer than eight defeats within this period, and in addition, Lecce have also failed to score in eight of these 13 away games as well, making this upcoming trip to the Stadio Ennio Tardini a potentially difficult one.
