Parma's winless run in the Italian top flight was extended to a disappointing eight games overall following a 2-2 draw away from home at Juventus, while Genoa slipped to another loss in Serie A after being handed a 1-0 loss at home to Fiorentina in midweek, so both teams will be keen to get a win under their belts on Monday evening.

Parma have managed to capture just one win so far in this season's domestic top flight campaign which came in the form of an impressive 2-1 home win against AC Milan but that has been Monday night's hosts only highlight in what has otherwise been a tough campaign so far.

Nevertheless, Parma have suffered just three defeats within their opening 10 games of this new term whilst also being involved in no fewer than six draws as well, so Fabio Pecchia's side have been tough to beat.

Results on home soil overall though have been poor as Parma have registered just two wins in their previous 22 games at their Stadio Ennio Tardini which have seen the hosts claim rare victories against Roma and AC Milan but they have also slipped to 13 defeats as well.

Genoa dropped down to bottom place of the Serie A table after being dealt a 1-0 loss at home to Fiorentina which also became a sixth defeat in eight games for the visitors, so despite their hosts producing some indifferent results, Genoa look to have their work cut out here.

Although Genoa have picked up points in draws with Roma and Bologna, these have been overshadowed by slipping to six defeats as well which have condemned them to the bottom of the Serie A table.

Genoa had previously made a promising start to this new Italian top flight campaign as the visitors had collected four points in their opening two games; an opening day 2-2 draw at home with Inter Milan was followed by a 1-0 win away from home at Monza, but results have declined in dismal fashion since then.

Within Genoa's six defeats, three of these have been dealt out to Genoa on their travels which has seen Alberto Gilardino's side slip to losses on the road at Venezia, Atalanta and Lazio respectively while the bigger picture shows Genoa have managed to pick up just four wins within their previous 22 outings on the road.

In addition, Genoa have also suffered 11 defeats within this period as well, so the visitors look to be facing another tough night at the office on Monday.
