Lazio returned to winning ways in Serie A last time out before Christmas when they registered a welcome 2-0 win away from home at Empoli which helped lift the hosts up into the top half of the division while Frosinone dropped down to 14th place in the Serie A standings after being dealt a 2-1 defeat home by Juventus.

Following an encouraging three-match winning streak earlier in the season which saw Lazio register victories over the likes of Atalanta, Sassuolo and Fiorentina during October, the hosts have struggled to find any sort of momentum or consistency in the domestic top flight as Maurizio Sarri's side have managed to capture just two further wins from their subsequent seven games overall.

These wins came in the shape of victories over Cagliari and Empoli but these have been offset by losses incurred against Bologna, Salernitana and Inter Milan as well, so the hosts still have plenty of room for improvement if they're to break into the top six of the division.

Nevertheless, Lazio still remain a fairly difficult team to beat on home soil at their Stadio Olimpico as the hosts have lost just once in their last seven games whilst picking up four wins during this period.

Frosinone slipped to a third defeat in four games just before Christmas after a 2-1 defeat at home to Juventus which followed previous losses at the hands of AC Milan and Lecce and although the visitors gained a point in a 0-0 draw at home with Torino, this hasn't been enough to prevent the visitors sliding down the Serie A table to 14th place.

League wins have been hard to come by for Frosinone this term as Eusebio Di Francesco's side have managed to capture just five wins from their total of 17 games played to date in this season's campaign and it is worth noting that all five of these victories have been achieved on home soil at their Stadio Benito Stirpe with victories collected against Atalanta, Sassuolo, Verona, Empoli and Genoa.

It's been four seasons since Frosinone last appeared in Serie A but although they have produced some good results at home this term, the visitors have really struggled to gain a foothold on their travels as they have slipped to six defeats in their eight outings on the road to date, while picking up just two points from a possible 18 on offer.

The bigger picture shows Frosinone have now failed to win any of their last 11 away games in the Italian top flight and this does not bode well for this upcoming trip to face Lazio on Friday night.
