Empoli will head into this upcoming Friday night encounter in Serie A against Torino with a renewed sense of confidence after inflicting a comprehensive 4-1 victory away from home against Verona and the hosts will now be seeking back-to-back wins in the Italian top flight for the first time since early May of last year.

Perhaps more telling is the fact that four out of Torino's recent seven defeats have been inflicted upon Paolo Vanoli's side on their travels with losses incurred on the road at Inter Milan, Cagliari, Roma and Juventus respectively and having lost four of their last five away games in Serie A, Torino look to have their work cut out here.
