Bologna moved up into fifth place in the Serie A table and now level on points with their upcoming visitors on Sunday evening, Roma, following last weekend's 2-1 win away from home at Salernitana while Roma extended their unbeaten run in the domestic top flight to five games after a 1-1 draw at home with Fiorentina last Sunday.

Bologna now currently occupy the automatic Europa League spot in the Italian top flight table but an even greater prize may be on the cards for Sunday's hosts as they sit level on 25 points apiece with fourth placed Roma ahead of this Sunday's encounter and a win for the hosts would see them leapfrog the visitors and into Champions League contention.

The hosts certainly deserve to at least be part of the Champions League conversation this season as Thiago Motta's side have been handed just two defeats throughout the whole of this season's Serie A campaign and Bologna have proved to be a tough unit to beat both at home and on their travels as well.
