Galway United were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Bohemians in last week's Irish Premier Division action but the hosts have another chance to make the most of home advantage when they take on Waterford at their Eamonn Deacy Park, while the visitors collected an encouraging 1-0 home win against St Patrick's Athletic and they will now be seeking a third league win on the trot on Friday night.

Galway United currently occupy a mid-table position of fifth place in the Irish Premier Division table and recent results have not all gone their way either as Johnathan Caufield's side have managed to register just one win in their last five games overall.

The bigger picture shows Waterford have suffered just four defeats in their previous 15 league matches along with recording nine wins in the process and this sort of form should certainly give Keith Long's side plenty of belief and confidence that they can produce a positive result here.

In addition, Waterford have been dealt just two defeats in their last eight outings on the road which also includes collecting four wins along the way, so the visitors have shown they are no pushovers as they prepare for this upcoming trip to the Eamonn Deacy Park to face Galway United on Friday night.
