Having suffered two defeats out of their last three league matches in the Irish Premier Division, Friday night's hosts, Derry City, will be eager to return to home soil and their Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium to take on Bohemians, no doubt searching to put an end to their recent dismal slump in form.

Derry City are without a win in three games and although Derry gained a point in a 0-0 draw at home with Shelbourne, defeats away from home at Sligo Rovers and St Patrick's Athletic have outweighed their minimal recent success.

Points gained in draws with Dundalk and Shelbourne were further boosted by a 2-0 home win against Sligo Rovers but results overall since early April onwards in the Premier Division have been rather inconsistent where Bohemians have been concerned.

The visitors have collected just four wins out of their last 12 matches since that date whilst also slipping to five defeats and being involved in three draws as well - in addition, eight of Bohemians' last 12 matches have also seen only one team score.

Bohemians had previously strung together an impressive four-match winning streak on the road as the visitors had picked up wins at St Patrick's, Sligo Rovers, Derry City and Drogheda United respectively, all of which were wins to nil, while five of Bohemians' last eight away games have also seen only one team hit the back of the net.
