Bochum slipped down into third from bottom position and the relegation play-off spot in the German Bundesliga following their recent 1-0 defeat away from home at Wolfsburg last weekend which also resulted in Friday night's hosts failing to win any of their previous eight games overall, while Hoffenheim registered an entertaining and high-scoring 4-3 home win against Borussia M'gladbach last weekend.

Six defeats from their last eight matches overall have landed Bochum in danger of being involved in a tense last few games of this season's Bundesliga campaign with confidence being at a very low ebb but goals could feature in this upcoming tussle at their Vonovia Ruhrstadion as six of Bochum's last 10 matches have resulted in Over 2.5 goals.

The bigger picture shows Bochum have managed to capture just two wins from their last 15 games in the German top flight which came in the form of wins against Stuttgart and Bayern Munich whilst also slipping to eight defeats in the process, so the prospects of a home win here do seem slim at best.

Matarazzo's side have managed to collect just one further win from their subsequent 10 outings on their travels along with slipping to no fewer than seven defeats in the process but the goals market appeals here as nine of their last 10 away games have also resulted in Over 2.5 goals.
