Augsburg claimed their first win of this new German Bundesliga campaign with a resounding 3-1 home win against St Pauli at their WWK Arena and the hosts hold home advantage once again for this Friday night's encounter with Mainz as the hosts look to register back-to-back wins in the domestic top flight for the first time since March of last season.

After just three games played to date this term, Augsburg have won, drawn and lost in equal measure and this includes a 2-2 draw at home with Werder Bremen on the opening day of the season but this point was followed by a heavy 4-0 loss on the road at Heidenheim, so the prospects of a home win here this Friday do seem to hang in the balance.
