Nice will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's 2-0 loss at home to Lyon when the upcoming hosts hold home advantage once again at their Allianz Riviera on Friday night when they entertain mid-table visitors Auxerre with the home side no doubt keen to hold onto their current third place position in the Ligue 1 table.

Auxerre currently occupy 11th place in the Ligue 1 standings but the visitors collected a second win in three games in the French top flight last weekend with a solid 2-0 win away from home at Reims, so Christophe Pélissier's side will make their way to the Allianz Riviera with renewed confidence.

As mentioned earlier, Nice currently sit in third spot in the French top flight table where they hold a two-point cushion over fourth placed Monaco ahead of this weekend's action in Ligue 1, but that lead could be extended to five points if Nice can return to winning ways on Friday night.

Nice had previously picked up five wins within their preceding six-match unbeaten run in the domestic top flight by virtue of collecting wins against the likes of Marseille, Lens, Le Havre, Montpellier and Saint-Etienne respectively, so Franck Haise's side will still feel confident about their prospects here on Friday night.
