Liverpool head into matchday 5 of the Europa League group stage on the back of a worthy 1-1 draw away from home at Manchester City as Jurgen Klopp's side came from a goal down to grab a point which now makes it just one defeat out of their last 10 matches in all competitions, while LASK sealed all three points with a 1-0 home win against WSG Tirol in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Liverpool's only defeat in recent months came in the form of a 3-2 defeat away from home at French Ligue 1 club, Toulouse, in Group E of the Europa League but The Reds have also collected six wins within this 10-game period which will give the hosts plenty of confidence in gaining a favourable result at Anfield on Thursday night.

Recent results though should still provide a boost and encouragement for LASK who have won four out of their last five games overall which includes victories in the domestic Bundesliga against Sturm Graz and the aforementioned WSG Tirol, but recent results on the Europa League stage have been fairly disappointing.

LASK have managed to capture just three wins from their last nine attempts on the European front, two of which were gained on home soil at their Raiffeisen Arena while picking up just the single win on the road which was a 3-1 victory at Ludogorets some four years ago and indeed on the road, LASK have won just five of their last 15 outings.
