This weekend produced another managerial casualty in the Premier League as Leicester City parted ways with former manager, Brendan Rodgers, after the Foxes slumped to a fifth defeat in six matches in the English top flight following their 2-1 defeat away from home at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

That defeat has left The Foxes second from bottom in the Premier League table but although the hosts are still only a point adrift of potential safety, five defeats out of their last six matches suggest the hosts pulling themselves out of the bottom three with a win here on Tuesday night may be easier said than done.

Recent losses to Manchester United, Arsenal, Southampton, Chelsea and Crystal Palace proved to be too much for the Leicester board and Rodgers was shown the door, while the bigger picture shows The Foxes have registered just two wins out of their last 13 matches overall.

An impressive four wins within Villa's last five league matches have helped the west midlands club to within a point of Liverpool thanks to victories gained over Everton, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and the aforementioned Chelsea, along with keeping clean sheets in each of these four wins as well.

Aston Villa's fortunes have been transformed under the guidance of former Arsenal boss, Unai Emery, as the visitors have suffered just three defeats out of their last 12 matches overall in the Premier League and another season in the top flight looks to be well deserved for The Villains.

Results away from home have also benefitted from Villa's resurgence under Emery as the visitors have lost just once in their last seven outings on the road, picking up five wins in the process, so they look to stand a very decent chance of adding to their points tally at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

The rot looks to have well and truly set in amongst the Leicester City camp and with the departure of former boss, Brendan Rodgers, an air of uncertainty may well creep in at the King Power Stadium, while Aston Villa are currently riding on a crest of a wave right now.

In addition to losing just once in their last seven away games, Aston Villa have scored in 10 of their 14 away matches to date this term (71.4%), and the visitors look the more likely to take the spoils here on Tuesday night as a result.
