West Ham vs Brighton Preview

West Ham made it two games unbeaten in the Premier League last Monday night under manager Lopetegui following a 1-1 draw away from home at Bournemouth which came hot on the heels of a 2-1 home win against Wolves.

Brighton's winless run in the English top flight was stretched to four games after The Seagulls were dealt a heavy 3-1 loss at home by A23 rivals Crystal Palace last Sunday, leaving the south coast side in ninth place in the Premier League table.

The south coast visitors had previously picked up points in draws with Southampton and Leicester City along with falling to a 3-1 loss away from home at Fulham, so they too have produced a mixed bag of results overall so far this season.

Indeed, Brighton have managed to capture just one more win than their upcoming hosts, West Ham, with six victories earned from their 16 league matches to date, three of which were achieved away from home.

Wins on the road at Everton, Newcastle United and Bournemouth have been offset by losses on their travels at Chelsea, Liverpool and Fulham in 4-2, 2-1 and 3-1 defeats so the prospects of a straight win here in the nation's capital looks to have some risk attached to it.

However, goals certainly look promising for this upcoming clash at the London Stadium as 13 out of Brighton's 16 matches played to date so far in the English top flight have resulted in both teams hitting the back of the net and this trend looks set to continue on Saturday afternoon.
