Tottenham will head into this upcoming Premier League clash at home against Manchester United looking to avoid a third defeat on the trot in all competitions following back-to-back losses in the domestic cup competitions, while results in the English top flight have left a lot to be desired and have left Spurs sitting in a disappointing 14th place in the table.

Indeed, defeats at home to Brighton and Crystal Palace were both inflicted upon Ruben Amorim's men in the Premier League but three out of Manchester United's six victories during this eight-game period were achieved on their travels with wins collected at Arsenal (on penalties in the FA Cup), Fulham (Premier League) and Steaua Bucharest (Europa League)

However, Manchester United have had troubles of their own especially away from home as the visitors have managed to capture just five wins from their previous 15 outings on the road in all competitions, including being handed four defeats, but nevertheless, these results are still better than Tottenham's in what has been a harrowing season all round for the north London hosts.

Two very inconsistent and troubled teams will therefore face off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon with both sides looking to lift themselves up into the top half of the Premier League table.
