Following a dismal run of four straight defeats in the English top flight, Newcastle United picked up a second win in three games last weekend in the Premier League with a 3-2 win away from home at Nottingham Forest, while Bournemouth slumped to a fifth game without a win last time out, losing 3-1 away from home at Fulham.

Four previous defeats to Luton Town, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Manchester City have resulted in Newcastle United losing serious ground on the European places in the Premier League table and indeed, The Magpies now find themselves 10 points adrift of fifth placed Aston Villa heading into this weekend's top flight action.
