Manchester City slumped to a sixth defeat in eight games in the Premier League over the weekend when Pep Guardiola's side were beaten 2-1 away from home at Aston Villa which also resulted in City dropping down the English top flight table to seventh place and 12 points behind the Premier League leaders, Liverpool.
