Ipswich Town will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to three games on Thursday night when they play host to Brighton at Portman Road after the Tractor Boys produced a couple of encouraging results in recent weeks in the English top flight.

Brighton's winless run in the domestic top flight was extended to eight games overall following a 1-1 draw at home with Arsenal but although The Seagulls would have considered that result being a solid point gained, the south coast club have been involved in too many stalemates lately.

The hosts have managed to capture just the single home win so far this season though whilst also being handed no fewer than five defeats and this upcoming fixture against Brighton looks to be a tricky assignment.

Brighton were involved in a sixth draw in eight games last time out in the Premier League when they held high-flying Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the AMEX Stadium as the south coast visitors have also struggled to pick up league wins in recent times as well.

On the flip-side, the bigger picture shows Brighton have been dealt just three defeats within their previous 14 games overall in the English top flight and although the draw has been most prevalent this season, The Seagulls have also collected important wins against the likes of Tottenham, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Bournemouth, three of whom occupy places in the top seven of the table.

Results away from home though underline Brighton's difficulties in collecting points on the road on a regular basis as the visitors have managed to register just three victories from their last 16 outings on the road in the Premier League, but despite this being a poor record overall, it is still better than Ipswich Town's singular win at home this season.

In addition, Brighton have scored two goals or more in five out of their last 10 away games in the top flight.
