Fulham slumped to a fourth defeat in five games last time out in the Premier League when The Cottagers were dealt a 1-0 defeat away from home at Chelsea which left the hosts sitting in 13th place in the Premier League table but the hosts at least possess a useful eight-point cushion above the bottom three clubs ahead of this upcoming clash with Everton at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night.

Although Marco Silva's side registered a welcome and indeed impressive 2-1 home win against Arsenal, the hosts have also slipped to four defeats within their last five games overall in the Premier League which saw The Cottagers handed losses by the likes of Newcastle United, Burnley, Bournemouth and close rivals, Chelsea, but it's worth noting that three of these four losses were incurred on their travels.

The bigger picture shows Fulham have managed to capture just four wins from their last 13 matches overall in the English top flight which have seen Fulham produce much needed wins against Wolves, Nottingham Forest and West Ham along with the aforementioned victory over Arsenal, but they have also succumbed to eight defeats as well within this sequence of results.

However, it is also worth mentioning that Fulham have won four of their last five games on home soil at Craven Cottage which will give the hosts plenty of confidence here.

Everton may have avoided defeat last time out in the Premier League when The Toffees gained a point with a 0-0 draw at home with Aston Villa but nevertheless, this result only extended their winless run in the English top flight to four games which includes slipping to three defeats on the trot in previous weeks.

Losses to Tottenham, Manchester City and Wolves have plunged Everton back into the relegation mire where the hosts find themselves sitting just one place above the bottom three clubs and just a point above third from bottom side, Luton Town, prior to Tuesday night's trip to the nation's capital to take on Fulham.

Everton had previously strung together an impressive four-match winning streak in the Premier League as Sean Dyche's men had recorded wins against Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Burnley respectively, but with the possibility of another points deduction looming over their head, these are tough times for the Everton faithful.

That said, Everton continue to fight on and having won four out of their last six outings on the road, The Toffees look capable of at least hitting the back of the net in this upcoming tussle at Craven Cottage.
