Fulham vs Arsenal Preview

Fulham will be looking to stop the current bleeding in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when they play host to London rivals, Arsenal, following three defeats on the trot after The Cottagers were handed a heavy 3-0 loss away from home at Bournemouth while Arsenal missed the chance to go top of the table as they too suffered a defeat at home to West Ham 2-0.

Recent defeats at the hands of Newcastle United and Burnley have contributed to Fulham's recent decline in form and also their slide down the Premier League table to 13th place and Fulham face yet another tough test in the shape of Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Although Fulham picked up important wins against Wolves, Nottingham Forest and West Ham, the latter two being by emphatic 5-0 margins, these have been Fulham's only real highlights from their previous 11 games overall in the English top flight as the hosts have also slipped to a total of seven defeats within this period as well, thus making this upcoming clash against Arsenal on Sunday a tough looking proposition.

The north London side had previously racked up important victories over Burnley, Brentford, Wolves and Luton Town and manager Arteta will be demanding a much better performance from his side on Sunday afternoon as they look to keep the pressure upon the the current league leaders, Liverpool, with a win next to the Thames.

Arsenal's chances of achieving this do look promising as they have lost just twice on their travels so far this term and having won five of their nine outings on the road to date, The Gunners should be too strong for a faltering Fulham outfit.
