Everton have enjoyed an excellent seven days in the Premier League having collected a second win on the trot in the Premier League during the week when they recorded an impressive 3-0 thumping of Newcastle United on Thursday night and The Toffees will now be going in search of a third league win on the trot for the first time in over a year when they play host to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, while Chelsea will be keen to bounce back from their midweek 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.

With back-to-back wins against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, Everton have managed to claw themselves out of the relegation zone and up into 17th place where they hold a one-point cushion over third from bottom club, Luton Town, ahead of this weekend's action in the English top flight.

Everton manager, Sean Dyche, is no stranger to dealing with adversity from his experience with managing Burnley on a shoe-string budget comparatively speaking and The Toffees seem to be relishing their siege-like mentality following the 10-point penalty that was handed down to the merseyside club.

So much so, that Everton have now picked up four wins from their last six matches overall which includes previous wins against the likes of West Ham and Crystal Palace, both of which were away from home.

Chelsea could do with collecting back-to-back wins at the moment under Mauricio Pochettino as The Blues seemingly go one step forward but two back in recent times and the last time the London club did achieve back-to-back wins was back in early October when they registered two away wins on the trot at Fulham and Burnley respectively.

Chelsea have managed just two further wins from their subsequent seven games overall in the Premier League with victories registered against Tottenham and Brighton but the visitors have also slipped to losses against the likes of Brentford, Newcastle United and Manchester United which does not guarantee success for Pochettino's side on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors have produced a mixed bag of results on the road as well in recent times as The Blues previously posted three away wins on the bounce at Fulham, Burnley and Tottenham but have since lost at Newcastle United and Manchester United, while the wider picture shows Chelsea have recorded just three wins from their previous nine outings on the road.

Everton will be brimming with confidence after posting two wins within the last seven days but The Toffees have found wins at home hard to come by this season while Chelsea have been so inconsistent on their travels it's hard to know what they'll produce!
