Despite being dealt a 2-1 defeat away from home at Arsenal on the final day of last season's Premier League campaign, Everton managed to narrowly avoid relegation once again in the English top tier, this time by a slender two-point margin, while Brighton produced a rather disappointing campaign as The Seagulls finished in 11th place under former manager Roberto de Zerbi thanks to picking up just the single win from their final 10 league matches.
