Another heavy loss last weekend for Everton made it two defeats on the trot as The Toffees succumbed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Tottenham in the nation's capital, while Bournemouth picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at home with Newcastle United which became The Cherries' second stalemate on the trot in the early stages of this season's Premier League campaign.

Everton had finished last season's top flight campaign with a 2-1 loss away from home at Arsenal but Sean Dyche's side had secured their Premier League status for another season by then as the merseyside club had put together a valuable five-match unbeaten sequence which saved them from the drop.

Even more impressive was the fact that Everton picked up four wins within this five-match period as The Toffees accounted for the likes of Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Brentford and Sheffield United, all of which were also record on home soil at Goodison Park as well.

Bournemouth finished last season in a creditable 12th place in the Premier League table as The Cherries once again held their own against the more illustrious clubs in the English top flight and indeed, Andoni Iraola's side finished a massive 22 points above the relegation zone.

However, although the south coast side have picked up a couple of important and solid points already in this season's Premier League campaign thanks to draws with Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, Bournemouth have now managed to collect just two league wins from their last 10 attempts, which came in the shape of victories over Wolves and Brighton.

Five defeats at the hands of Luton Town, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Brentford and Chelsea suggest Bournemouth may have their work cut out on merseyside this weekend especially as four of the aforementioned five defeats were incurred on their travels.

Indeed, Andoni Iraola's side have registered just two wins in their last 11 outings on the road along with being dealt six defeats, so this sort of form does not bode well ahead of making the trip to Goodison Park.
