Crystal Palace will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to three games when they play host to Fulham at Selhurst Park in this London derby on Saturday afternoon following a win and a draw which has just about proved to be enough to keep The Eagles out of the relegation zone for the time being.

Crystal Palace had previously produced a terrible start to this new Premier League campaign as The Eagles had failed to win any of their opening eight games of the new term, slipping to five defeats and picking up just three points from a possible 24 on offer thanks to three draws.

Early season defeats handed out to Oli Glasner's side saw the hosts slip up against the likes of Brentford, West Ham, Everton, Liverpool and Nottingham Forest respectively while picking up just single points at a time in draws with Chelsea, Leicester City and Manchester United.

Palace's poor start to this new campaign has been something of a surprise following the hosts' great finish to last season which produced six wins from their final seven games, but a recent 1-0 home win against Tottenham along with picking up a point away from home in the west midlands in a 2-2 draw at Wolves will give Palace a welcome boost ahead of this weekend's action.

Fulham returned to winning ways in the English top flight on Monday night when The Cottagers recorded a 2-1 home win against another London outfit, Brentford, and the visitors will no doubt be keen to add another London club to their list of victories here on Saturday afternoon at Selhurst Park.

The visitors had recently slipped to back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Aston Villa along with being held to a 1-1 draw away from home at Everton but nevertheless, Fulham have produced a reasonable start to this new Premier League campaign.

Marco Silva's side have slipped to just these two losses in their last nine games overall in the English top flight as well as picking up important wins against Leicester City, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and the aforementioned victory over Brentford, so the visitors stand a decent chance of claiming something out of this relatively short trip to Selhurst Park.

Fulham have also been dealt just two defeats in their last eight outings on the road as well along with picking up three wins along the way.

Goals could be in short supply here though as four out of Crystal Palace's five home games have resulted in Under 2.5 goals, while four of Fulham's five away games have also produced two goals or less, so perhaps a narrow win for Fulham could be on the cards.
