Chelsea were handed a heavy 3-1 loss away from home at Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend as former Manchester City striker, Cole Palmer, was dealt a disappointing return against his old club and Chelsea have now managed to win just once in their last seven matches overall.

West Ham steadied the ship with a point gained in a 1-1 draw away from home at Aston Villa last weekend in the English top flight but The Hammers face another tough trip across London on Monday night to take on a Chelsea outfit who will be eager to return to winning ways.

Chelsea's singular success during this lean seven-game period in the Premier League came in the shape of a 3-1 home win against strugglers Wolves but also includes slipping to losses at the hands of Fulham, Ipswich Town and the aforementioned Manchester City defeat.

Two of Chelsea's recent three defeats though were dealt out to The Blues on their travels while results on home soil at Stamford Bridge have remained pretty consistent as Enzo Maresca's side have suffered just two defeats within their total of 11 home games to date, picking up five wins in the process.

Goals may also feature here on Monday night as seven out of Chelsea's 11 home games to date this term have also resulted in Over 2.5 goals as well.

West Ham manager, Graham Potter, will be up against his former club on Monday night as he takes his West Ham side to Stamford Bridge no doubt seeking a second win of Graham Potter's short reign so far at the helm of The Hammers.

However, this may be easier said than done though as league wins have been sporadic and not very forthcoming for the visitors as West Ham have gained just seven wins within their total of 23 matches played so far in this season's Premier League campaign.

Four of these seven victories have been achieved on home soil at the London Stadium but this means that Graham Potter's side have managed to collect just three wins on their travels so far this season, along with being handed four defeats as well as four draws.

The three wins on the road to date have been achieved against the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Southampton respectively but the bigger picture shows West Ham have lost seven out of their last 14 outings on the road in the domestic top flight which does not bode well even for a trip to face out-of-sorts Chelsea.
