Brighton shared the points with West Ham in a 0-0 draw at the London Stadium at the start of this year which also extended The Seagulls' unbeaten run in the Premier League to three games which in turn maintained Brighton's top half status in the table, while Wolves collected a third league win on the trot just before New Year with a comprehensive 3-0 win against Everton at Molineux.

A 1-1 draw away from home at Crystal Palace and an impressive 4-2 home win against Tottenham preceded the 0-0 stalemate with West Ham but nevertheless, Roberto di Zerbi's side have suffered just two defeats out of their last 11 matches overall in the English top flight which came in the form of losses on the road at Chelsea and Arsenal.

However, Brighton have also captured three wins and picked up points in six draws within this 11-match sequence as The Seagulls still remain a tough and stubborn opponent especially on home soil at their AMEX Stadium where the south coast club have been handed just the single loss all season so far.

Since an early season 3-1 defeat at home to West Ham, Brighton have embarked upon an eight-match unbeaten run at home which consists of four wins and four draws. Wolves will make their way down to the south coast to take on Brighton on the back of three impressive wins on the trot in the Premier League which has helped lift the west midlands club into a more respectable looking mid-table position of 11th place in the table ahead of Monday night's clash at the AMEX Stadium.

Recent victories gained over Chelsea, Brentford and Everton have given Gary O'Neil's side a real boost ahead of the second half of this Premier League season where a top half finish in this season's Premier League campaign now looks a distinct possibility.

Having lost four of their opening five games of this campaign, Wolves fans may have been fearing the worst as their side slumped to early season losses to Manchester United, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Liverpool but the visitors have responded in positive fashion as the west midlands side have lost just a further four games in their subsequent 15 matches.

It should be noted however, that Wolves have lost four out of their last five outings on the road following defeats at Sheffield United, Fulham, Arsenal and West Ham, so this upcoming encounter against Brighton may be another tough test for O'Neil and his Wolves side.
