Bournemouth's recent winning momentum continued on Saturday when they recorded a 3-2 win away from home against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, while Fulham were dealt a second defeat on the trot as they slumped to a 2-0 loss at home to strugglers, Burnley, at Craven Cottage.

Having won five of their last six matches in the English top flight, Bournemouth have now climbed up into a mid-table position where they occupy 11th place after putting together what seemed to be a highly unlikely six-match unbeaten sequence in the Premier League especially considering the poor start to this campaign that the south coast club produced.

Bournemouth had earlier failed to win any of their opening nine games of the season and having slipped to six defeats within this period, The Cherries looked to be amongst the early candidates for possible relegation from the top flight this term.

However, Andoni Iraola's side have staged an impressive comeback by winning six out of their last eight matches overall which will give the hosts plenty of confidence that they can extend this winning streak to four on the trot when they play host to Fulham on Boxing Day.

Fulham slipped to back-to-back defeats in the Premier League on Saturday when they were handed an unexpected 2-0 loss at home to Burnley at Craven Cottage which followed a previous heavy 3-0 loss away at Newcastle United, so Marco Silva's side will be anxious to at least avoid a third defeat on the trot here on Boxing Day.

This of course means Fulham have collected just the one win so far on their travels this term which came in the form of a 1-0 win away from home at Everton at the start of the season but the London club have failed to win any of their subsequent eight outings on the road and being handed five defeats in the process.

Therefore, Fulham look to have a big job on their hands if they're to get even a point against an upwardly mobile Bournemouth outfit who must be brimming with confidence right now.
