Aston Villa picked up a second win in three games just before the international break when they registered a 2-1 win away from home at Leicester City and the west midlands club will now return to Villa Park this Saturday no doubt keen to pick up their first home win of the season, while Everton will just be content to pick up their first point of the new season having been handed three defeats on the trot.

Aston Villa have produced a reasonable start to this new Premier League season as The Villains have won two of their opening three games by picking up victories against West Ham and Leicester City, both of which were gained on their travels.

In between the two wins however, Villa slipped to a 2-0 defeat on home soil at Villa Park to last season's runners-up Arsenal so no doubt the hosts will be keen to set the record straight in front of their home fans this Saturday.

Recent results overall have left Villa wanting though as the hosts have managed to collect just two wins within their last seven games, along with picking up just four wins in their previous 12 home games at Villa Park, so perhaps the goals market may be a good alternative option here.

Everton have seemingly picked up where they left off at the end of last season's Premier League campaign as The Toffees have slumped to three early season defeats on the trot, losing to the likes of Brighton, Tottenham and Bournemouth respectively.

Together with a final day of the season 2-1 loss away from home at Arsenal, that now makes it four losses on the trot for Sean Dyche's men and the merseyside outfit face a tricky outing down to the west midlands on Saturday evening where they will face an Aston Villa outfit who inflicted a 4-0 thrashing upon them back in August last year.

Previously, Everton had avoided any relegation dramas towards the end of last season's top flight campaign thanks to putting together a vitally important five-game unbeaten spell which consisted of four wins and a draw.

Victories over Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, Brentford and Sheffield United were all achieved on home soil at Goodison Park though, while results away from home have been simply dreadful; The Toffees have failed to win any of their last 12 outings on the road, slipping to no fewer than eight defeats in the process.
