Derby County collected back-to-back wins in League One on Saturday when The Rams registered a welcome and most important 3-0 win away from home at Bristol Rovers which followed a previous and equally resounding 3-0 home win against Port Vale which has helped Derby into one of the automatic promotion spots in the division, while Reading slipped to a third defeat in five games following a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

Derby County know they must continue their winning momentum though as although the east midlands side occupy second place in the League One table, The Rams only hold a slender one point cushion above third placed Bolton Wanderers but having been handed just two defeats in their last nine games along with picking up six wins in the process, Paul Warne's side will be brimming with confidence ahead of this upcoming clash.

Even more positive for Derby County is the fact that the hosts have suffered just two defeats in their last 16 home games at Pride Park whilst recording 10 wins along the way including a notable 3-0 win against Barnsley, so The Rams look set for further success here on Tuesday night in their bid for automatic promotion back to the Championship.

Reading's fight against relegation continued on the weekend after being handed a 2-1 loss at home to Wycombe Wanderers which became The Royal's third defeat in five games in the English third tier after succumbing to losses against Portsmouth and Shrewsbury Town respectively.

However, the Berkshire club also have reason to be upbeat about their chances of producing a positive result here on Tuesday night at Pride Park as the visitors have lost just three of their last 11 matches overall in League One, picking up five wins in the process.

In addition, Reading also seem to have recovered from producing a disastrous start to this League One season especially away from home as The Royals had started the campaign having lost their opening eight away games on the trot which also saw the visitors concede two goals or more in six of these eight outings.

Subsequent results on their travels though have seen Reading turn things around as The Royals have lost just a further two games of their last 10 outings, picking up three wins and being involved in five draws as well.

One sign of warning though for Reading is the fact that the visitors have managed to keep just one clean sheet in their last 21 away games.
