Despite suffering a bitterly disappointing 1-0 defeat away from home at Northampton Town last weekend in League One, The Rams still occupy second place in the table and more importantly, one of the automatic promotion spots ahead of these Easter fixtures where Derby County will be looking to bounce back with all three points, while Blackpool dropped down the table to ninth place following their 1-0 defeat away from home at Wigan Athletic just before the international break.

Derby County missed out on an opportunity to steal a march on the teams below them in last week's reduced fixture schedule in the English third tier due to international action but The Rams will be keen to set the record straight when they entertain Blackpool on Good Friday.

Derby had previously racked up four wins on the trot in the third tier with important victories gained over Port Vale, Bristol Rovers, Reading and Bolton Wanderers respectively, the latter being a 1-0 win in their last home game, so Paul Warne's side will be eager to replicate that result here on Friday afternoon.

Blackpool had previously picked up two wins in their preceding three games overall which consisted of victories against Shrewsbury Town and Northampton Town respectively and even more impressive was the fact that both wins were registered on their travels as well, thus giving Blackpool confidence ahead of this upcoming trip to Pride Park.

However, recent results overall suggest Blackpool may find it tough going against Derby County here on Good Friday as the Lancashire club have managed to capture just four wins out of their last 11 games which includes losses at the hands of Stevenage, Cheltenham Town, Leyton Orient and Wigan Athletic, all of which have been inflicted upon Neil Critchley's side away from home.

Blackpool have registered just five wins from their last 16 outings on the road in League One along with being dealt no fewer than eight defeats in the process and The Seasiders have also failed to score in seven of these games as well, so Derby know they have a golden opportunity to take the spoils here.
