Chelsea extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to three games on Monday night with a 3-2 home win against Newcastle United in the Premier League which will give Mauricio Pochettino's side a welcome and timely boost as they prepare for the visit of Championship side Leicester City to Stamford Bridge for this FA Cup quarter-final clash, while Leicester City were held to a 2-2 draw away from home at Hull City on the weekend.

Recent games which have involved Chelsea have certainly been lively and entertaining affairs as The Blues recorded a 3-2 home win against a previous Championship side in the shape of Leeds United while also gaining a point in a 2-2 draw away from home at Brentford and together with the aforementioned 3-2 home win against Newcastle United, these games have produced a total of 14 goals in the last three games!

Whether the goal tally is further increased at Stamford Bridge in Sunday lunchtime's clash with Leicester City remains to be seen but after a rather shaky start under Pochettino, Chelsea have now been dealt only three defeats in their previous 12 matches in all competitions.

However, general feeling is that the jury still remains out as to whether Chelsea have turned a corner so the goals market appeals here, especially as eight out of Chelsea's last 10 games overall have resulted in both teams scoring.

Leicester City have suffered something of a decline in form in recent weeks as The Foxes have seen their seemingly unassailable lead at the top of the Championship whittled down to just a mere three points ahead of second placed Leeds United and although the east midlands club would love a decent cup run this season, promotion back to the Premier League will be of paramount importance.

Recent results also suggest that it may be wise to steer clear of the straight win markets here for both Chelsea and in particular, Leicester City, as the visitors have been handed three defeats out of their last six matches in all competitions.

Losses at the hands of Middlesbrough 2-1, Leeds United 3-1 and most disappointing of all, a 2-1 loss at home to Championship strugglers QPR perhaps underline Leicester City's vulnerability as the season (and what was almost certain promotion) starts towards its end.

Goals could feature at either end at Stamford Bridge from a Leicester City perspective as well, as six of The Foxes' last 10 games overall have produced goals for both teams.
