Swansea City dropped down to 18th place in the Championship table after slipping to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at home to Middlesbrough last weekend which now makes it just one win captured from their previous eight games overall in the English second tier, while Preston NE were also on the losing side as they crashed to a 5-1 thrashing at home to Watford.

It's been a season of contrasting and fluctuating fortunes for Swansea City so far in this Championship campaign as the Welsh club started in dismal fashion as they failed to win any of their opening seven league games of the new season but The Swans then produced an encouraging four-match winning streak which consisted of wins against Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Norwich City and Plymouth Argyle respectively.

The visitors have managed to collect just three wins from their last 15 games overall in the Championship which have come in the shape of wins against Coventry City, Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town while also slipping to eight defeats within this 15-game period along with being involved in four draws as well.

Form away from home has also been in decline since Preston NE put together a four-match unbeaten start on their travels which included wins posted on the road at Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City, as the Lancashire club have managed to pick up just a further two wins from their subsequent seven outings on the road.

This looks to be another fixture between two out of form sides in the Championship with both Swansea City and Preston NE struggling for consistency, so the goals market may appeal here as both sides may even cancel each other out here.
