Southampton started the long road back to redemption and a return to the Premier League in positive fashion as they registered a 2-1 win away from home at newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship's curtain-raiser last Friday night and the south coast club will be looking for more of the same on Saturday afternoon.

That win up in Yorkshire became Southampton's second win out of their last 20 matches in all competitions and is a record that extends back into what was a disastrous Premier League campaign last season, culminating in Saints falling through the trap-door and down into the Championship.

Prior to last weekend's victory, Norwich had previously managed to capture just one win from their preceding 11 games in all competitions which came in the shape of a 2-0 win away at Blackburn Rovers but also includes slipping to six defeats as well.

Four defeats in their last six matches in the Championship suggest this upcoming trip to face a newly relegated Southampton outfit may prove to be a tough assignment for David Wagner's side following losses to Middlesbrough, Swansea City, West Brom and Blackpool, the latter being particularly disappointing as they were relegated down to League One at the end of last season.

With just two wins from their last nine games on their travels in the English second tier, The Canaries look to have their work cut out if they're to get anything from this fixture.
