Plymouth Argyle tasted defeat for the second time in this new Championship season just before the international break when The Pilgrims were dealt a disappointing 1-0 loss at home to Stoke City which resulted in Plymouth dropping down into the bottom three of the division, while by contrast Sunderland moved top of the early Championship standings thanks to recording a resounding 3-1 win away from home at Portsmouth before the break.
