Coventry City made it three wins on the trot in the Championship last time out in the English second tier when they registered a 2-1 win away from home at Sheffield Wednesday which has helped the Sky Blues up into the play-off pack where they sit in sixth place, while Bristol City picked up a point in a 1-1 draw at home with Watford to lift them into a mid-table position.

The recent win at Hillsborough extended Coventry City's unbeaten sequence in the Championship to nine games which consists of six wins and three draws with the victories being achieved against Birmingham City, Sunderland, Sheffield Wednesday (home and away), Middlesbrough and Leicester City respectively.

This sustained run of form has helped Mark Robins' side into the play-off pack and this would have seemed a highly unlikely achievement following Coventry City's poor start to this season's campaign which saw the Sky Blues gather just three wins out of their opening 16 league matches overall.

However, despite that disappointing start, results on home soil at their Coventry Building Society Arena have never wavered as Coventry City have been handed just the single defeat so far at home this season within their 14 matches played to date this term.

Bristol City's inconsistent nature has once again been evident in this season's Championship campaign as The Robins sit in a mid-table position of 13th place in the Championship standings having managed to capture just three wins from their last 11 league matches overall.

Victories against Sunderland, Hull City and Watford have been outweighed by defeats incurred against Southampton, Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers, Millwall and Preston NE but following a poor spell of form which resulted in Bristol City picking up just five wins from their opening 14 league games, former manager, Nigel Pearson was shown the door.

The west country outfit are now on their second manager of this Championship season as Liam Manning took over the reigns following a 2-0 loss away from home at Cardiff City towards the end of October last year, but he too has had difficulty in instilling greater consistency with his side as Bristol City have won just five of their subsequent 14 games since Pearson's departure.

Results and success away from home also continue to elude The Robins as they have managed to collect just one win from their previous nine outings on the road which came in the form of a 4-1 victory at Watford whilst also being handed five defeats in the process including failing to score in five of these nine away games.
