Venezuela sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the Copa America in emphatic fashion by finishing top of Group B with the maximum nine-point haul, finishing above Ecuador and Mexico respectively with a five-point cushion, while Canada finished in second place in Group A and five points behind the group favourites, Argentina.
