The second of these CONCACAF Nations League semi-finals features this upcoming clash between League A Group A winners, Panama, and last season's third placed finishers, Mexico, when the two nations face off at the AT&T Stadium with Panama heading into this clash on the back of a four-match winning streak while Mexico last played an international back in mid-December where they lost 3-2 at home to Colombia.

Panama finished top of Group A courtesy of remaining unbeaten in their four group matches, thanks to picking up three wins and a draw to see them finish one point above the runners-up Trinidad & Tobago thanks to victories collected against Martinique, Curacao and Guatemala which earned Thomas Christiansen's side a place in the quarter-finals.

A resounding 6-1 win on aggregate against Costa Rica which consisted of a 3–0 away win in the 1st leg before recording a 3-1 home win in the return leg will give Panama plenty of confidence when they take on Mexico on Friday morning (GMT).

The bigger picture shows Panama have suffered just the one defeat out of their last 13 matches in all competitions, picking up 10 wins in the process but the one loss was to Mexico.

Onto Mexico and it looks like a case of the usual suspects being involved in the latter stages of this season's Nations League as they are tipped to meet old rivals USA in the final of this competition although Mexico last played back in December when they were dealt a 3-2 loss at home by Colombia in an international friendly.

Mexico will be looking to at least go one step better this time around in the Nations League as they finished last season's competition in third place after beating their upcoming opponents, Panama, 1-0 in the third place play-off.

Overall results have been fairly satisfactory where Mexico have been concerned as Jaime Lozano's side have lost just three of their previous 14 games in all competitions which were losses against Qatar (Gold Cup), Honduras and Colombia along with picking up eight wins in the process, but they'll need to be on top of their game when facing an in-form and confident Panama outfit on Friday morning.

That said, Mexico have disposed of Panama in two 1-0 victories which came in last season's Nations League and a Gold Cup victory against the same opponents.
