Salzburg seemingly already have one foot firmly planted in the group stage of the Champions League after recording what could prove to be a decisive 2-0 win away from home in the 1st leg against Dinamo Kyiv and the Austrian hosts now return to their Red Bull Arena for this 2nd leg where avoiding defeat would see them progress, while Dinamo Kyiv will be desperate to rekindle their previous form when they make their way to Salzburg.

Since faltering to a 2-0 defeat away from home at Rapid Vienna in the Austrian Bundesliga in early May, Salzburg have embarked upon an impressive 14-match unbeaten sequence in all competitions, picking up 12 wins in the process which should stand the hosts in good stead for this return leg at their Red Bull Arena.

Last week's disappointing 2-0 defeat ‘at home' in Poland was certainly not part of Dinamo Kyiv's plans to progress through to the group stage of this season's Champions League and last week's loss also ended a previously promising six-match unbeaten sequence in all competitions which consisted of five wins and a draw.

Within this recent purple patch of form, Dynamo Kyiv registered wins in the earlier qualifying rounds of the Champions league with a resounding 9-2 victory over Serbian club Partizan Belgrade which was followed by a 3-1 win on aggregate against Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

In addition, Dinamo Kyiv had also captured wins in the domestic top flight against Veres Rivne and Karpaty Lviv respectively in the Ukrainian Premier League, so the visitors will be hoping they can re-discover this form on Tuesday night.
