Internacional gained a solid point with a 1-1 draw away from home at Bahia last weekend in the Brazilian top flight but nevertheless this result has only extended the hosts' winless run in Serie A to six games, while Palmeiras were dealt a 2-0 loss away from home at the league leaders, Flamengo, making it three losses on the trot for the visitors in all competitions and resulting in Palmeiras dropping down to third place in the Serie A standings.
