Second from bottom club, Granada, will play host to Cadiz in a La Liga relegation battle at their Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes with the hosts desperate to halt a dire 15-match winless run in the domestic top flight while Cadiz were involved in a fifth draw on the trot just before Christmas when they shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at home with Real Sociedad.

Granada were handed a seventh defeat in nine games last time out in La Liga when they hosts suffered a heavy 3-0 loss at home to Sevilla and having now failed to win any of their preceding 15 games overall in the Spanish top flight, Granada now find themselves battling against relegation as they sit second from bottom and seven points adrift of Cadiz and safety.

The hosts have managed to capture just the one win throughout what has been a disastrous campaign to date which was achieved at the start of the season with a 3-2 home win against Mallorca but since then the hosts have spiralled in a downwards decline.

Goals may also be in short supply here as well, with six of Granada's last 10 matches overall in La Liga resulting in Under 2.5 goals (60%).

Cadiz haven't fared much better than their hosts Granada as the visitors have now failed to win any of their last 14 matches overall in the Spanish top flight although Sergio's side have at least picked up eight points during this period as they have been involved in no fewer than eight stalemates.

However, Cadiz will be wanting to pull further away from the bottom three clubs with a win here on Wednesday night as the visitors hold a fragile looking two-point cushion above third from bottom side, Celta Vigo, prior to these midweek fixtures in the domestic top flight.

Cadiz have also only managed to pick up just two wins so far this season, both of which were recorded on home soil at their Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla with rare victories chalked up against Alaves and Villarreal but this means that the visitors have still yet to claim a win on their travels this term.

The visitors have drawn their last three away games on the trot while the goals market appeals here again as seven of Cadiz's nine away games so far this term have also resulted in Under 2.5 goals (78%).

Previous history between Granada and Cadiz suggest another low-scoring encounter could be on the cards again on Wednesday night as each of the last six encounters between these two clubs have resulted in Under 2.5 goals being scored but if there is a winner, Cadiz perhaps look the more likely to take the spoils.
