Getafe's solid if not stubborn eight-match unbeaten run in the Spanish top flight finally came to an end last Friday when they were handed a 2-0 defeat away from home at Las Palmas but Jose Bordalas' side now return to the home surroundings of their Estadio Coliseum to take on a Valencia outfit who suffered a second defeat in three games last time out when they lost 2-1 away from home at Girona.

This mid-table clash in La Liga pits the wits of 10th placed Getafe against those of ninth placed Valencia but Getafe appear to not only hold the advantage of home soil for this upcoming encounter but the hosts also still remain unbeaten at their Estadio Coliseum having won four and drawn three of their seven home games so far in this season's top flight campaign.

Despite last week's loss at Las Palmas, Getafe will still feel confident about their chances of getting something out of this Friday night clash as the hosts had previously picked up wins against Cadiz and Almeria, both on home soil, along with picking up points in no fewer than six of these last eight games as well.

To make matters worse for the visitors, Valencia have now failed to win any of their last seven outings on the road which includes four defeats, while the wider picture shows Valencia have managed to pick up just three wins from their previous 23 away games overall in the Spanish top flight which is a wretched record on the road.
