Ross County finally halted their worrying winless streak in the Scottish top flight on Saturday when they registered a welcome and much needed 3-2 home win against Livingston and the hosts will be keen to produce more of the same when they play host to St Mirren at their Global Energy Stadium on Tuesday night, while St Mirren also recorded a home win on Saturday by way of a solid 2-0 home win against St Johnstone which maintained St Mirren's position in the top six pack of the Premiership table.

Ross County now have a six-point cushion above the bottom club, Livingston, but the hosts still remain sitting second from bottom in the Premiership table and in turn firmly ensconced in the Relegation Round pack when the domestic season starts its second phase.

The hosts had previously endured a tough 10-match winless sequence prior to their weekend win which consisted of no fewer than eight defeats in the process, while form and results on home soil at their Global Energy Stadium have been largely disappointing as Ross County have managed to capture just three wins from their last 11 home games in the domestic top flight.

St Mirren also registered a 2-0 home win against Ross County in their previous meeting in the Scottish top flight back in early December and The Saints will be confident that they can gain the upper hand once again on Tuesday night despite being away from home.

However, results away from home have been pretty disappointing in recent times for Stephen Robinson's side as they have managed to collect just two wins from their previous 10 outings on the road which includes slipping to seven defeats while five of these last 10 away games also resulted in Under 2.5 goals as well.
