Hibernian picked up another point in the Scottish Premiership in midweek by way of a 0-0 draw away from home at Ross County, while Dundee United slipped to a second defeat on the trot in the domestic top flight with a 2-1 loss at home to Motherwell.

It's been a wretched start to this new Scottish top flight season for Hibernian as the upcoming hosts currently sit second from bottom in the Premiership table thanks to picking up just a single win from their opening 10 league matches overall.

That rare win came in the form of a 2-0 home win against St Johnstone but otherwise, the hosts have really struggled to gain a foothold so far in this season's campaign as David Gray's side have drawn four but also slipped to five defeats already this term.

Prior to their recent back-to-back defeats, Dundee United had collected two wins on the trot in the Premiership as The Tangerines registered welcome wins against St Mirren and Hibernian, the latter being a 3-2 home win against their upcoming opponents in mid-October.

The visitors have also recorded previous wins against St Johnstone and Hearts earlier in the season and although the bigger picture shows Dundee United have picked up just four wins in their last 15 matches in the Scottish Premiership, the visitors still look a decent bet to gain a result here on Sunday afternoon.
