Third placed Atalanta will be keen to make home advantage count in Sunday's early kick-off against eighth placed Udinese when the two sides meet at the Gewiss Stadium as the hosts seek to make it six wins on the trot in the domestic top flight.

Atalanta have picked up recent important victories against Genoa, Venezia, Verona, Monza and most impressive of all, a 3-0 win away from home at Serie A leaders Napoli in last weekend's emphatic victory.

The hosts had previously produced a slow and sluggish start to this new Serie A campaign as Atalanta managed to collect just two wins in their opening six games of the new campaign which came in the form of wins against Lecce 4-0 and a 3-2 victory over Fiorentina.

Udinese have dropped down the Serie A table to eighth place after being handed back-to-back defeats in recent times, slipping to damaging defeats at the hands of Venezia and Juventus respectively.

Recent results overall have taken a turn for the worse for Udinese after making a bright start to this season's campaign as the visitors have managed to pick up just two wins from their last seven games overall which came in the shape of victories over the likes of Lecce and Cagliari, both of which were on home soil at their Bluenergy Stadium.

The visitors may therefore have their work cut out if they're to rekindle the sort of form which saw Udinese produce a promising start to this Serie A campaign which consisted of winning three of their opening four games at the start of the season.

Early season wins against Lazio, Como and Parma must now seem a lifetime away for Udinese and having lost their last three away games on the trot, this could be another tough assignment for Kosta Runjaic's side on Sunday morning.
