Having slipped to a second defeat on the trot away from home in the Premier League last weekend, West Ham will be glad to be returning to their home surroundings of the London Stadium for this lower half of the table clash against Everton, while the merseyside visitors were also handed a loss on the road last week when The Toffees suffered a 1-0 defeat away from home at Southampton.

West Ham have struggled to pick up league wins in the English top flight so far this season as The Hammers have managed to capture just three wins to date this term, one of which was a recent 2-1 home win against Manchester United in between their two losses on the road at Tottenham 4-1 and Nottingham Forest 3-0 respectively.

Lopetegui's side have collected previous wins against the likes of Crystal Palace 2-0 away from home along with a resounding thumping of newcomers Ipswich Town 4-1 but the hosts have also tasted defeat in five of their 10 matches played to date this term as well, leaving The Hammers in a disappointing 14th place in the table.

Everton's promising five-game unbeaten sequence in the Premier League was brought to a halt last weekend when they were dealt a 1-0 defeat away from home at fellow strugglers Southampton and The Toffees face another tricky outing on the road this Saturday when they take on West Ham at the London Stadium.

Sean Dyche's side had previously produced a terrible start to this Premier League campaign, slipping to four defeats on the trot with losses incurred against Brighton 3-0, Tottenham 4-0, Bournemouth 3-2 and Aston Villa 3-2 respectively.

To make matters worse, Everton had held 2-0 leads in each of their latter two defeats only to throw away potential three-point hauls, but nevertheless the visitors have produced improved performances in recent weeks which culminated in gaining victories against Crystal Palace 2-1 and Ipswich Town 2-0 along with points picked up in draws with Leicester City, Newcastle United and Fulham.

Results away from home though continue to be cause for major concern for Sean Dyche and his side as The Toffees have managed just one win from their previous 16 outings on the road in the Premier League, while five of their last 10 away games have also resulted in Over 2.5 goals.
